Bizarre Ending To Motorcycle Pursuit On 101 Freeway

Posted: Updated:

That motorcycle pursuit began about 4:30 p.m Wednesday afternoon at Roscoe Boulevard and De Soto Avenue in the San Fernando Valley when Los Angeles police saw a motorcyclist driving recklessly, according to LAPD. The pursuit went over various streets in the San Fernando Valley until the motorcyclist got onto the freeway, heading eastbound on the Pomona (60) Freeway in East Los Angeles, southbound on the 101, eventually ditching his motorcycle and running into a residence near whittier Blvd and South Indiana Street.

A few minutes later, our helicopter cameras located a man who looked similar to the driver of the motorcycle. The man took off his jacket and casually walked away from the scene and down the street, eventually getting on his cell phone. After walking into an Auto Zone nearby, LAPD surrounded the building, and the man was cuffed.
