A terrorist who is on the FBI Most Wanted list has been captured.

US forces with the army's Delta Force nabbed Abu Anas Al-Libi outside his home in the Libyan capital, Tripoli Saturday.

Officials say the 39-year-old Al-Qaeda operative was involved in the 1998 US Embassy attacks in Kenya and Tanzania which killed more than 200 people and injured thousands.

Secretary of State John Kerry said “we hope that this makes clear that the United States of America will never stop in its effort to hold those accountable who conduct acts of terror and those members of Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations literally can run, but they can't hide”.

Abu-As, whose real name is Nazih Abdul Hamed Al Ru-Qai was indicted by a federal court here in New York for the embassy bombings but eluded authorities for 15 years.

In a separate operation, members of the US Navy Seal Team Six swam ashore in Somalia to capture members of terrorist group Al-Shabab, suspected to be behind last month's bloody Nairobi mall attack.

US Military sources say at least one Somali was killed but the terror groups elusive leader was not captured.
