Suspect sought in string of cell phone store robberies

Posted: Updated:
DULUTH, Ga. -

Authorities from six cities are looking for a man wanted in a string of cell phone store robberies.

The latest robbery happened Monday morning at a Sprint store in Duluth. Surveillance footage shows a large rock thrown the store's window. The robber then pulls iPads, tablets and cell phones from the display case.

Conyers Police Officer Kim Lucas said that the footage suggests that the burglar is a professional.

"Looks like he done this before. Brought a bag with him which he is putting everything in," Lucas said.

Conyers police believe that the same man was involved in a robbery at the Pawn Mart on Dogwood Drive in June.

In addition, FOX 5 has learned that the same man is also wanted for cell phone burglaries in Monroe, Snellville, Loganville, DeKalb and Gwinnett counties. In all the robberies, a rock is thrown through the door and the suspect walks in with a gym bag and wears the same jacket.

Authorities say they're not sure where the stolen cell phones and tablets go, but they suspect the items could be headed overseas.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to contact police.
