Jersey Shore Gets Worst Of Coastal Storm

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

It was another raw, wet day down the shore in Atlantic City as a coastal flood advisory is still in effect.

Fox 29's Chris O'Connell went to the Atlantic City boardwalk where he saw a single boat out on the water coming to port. We could only imagine how rough it was for him.

Atlantic City police is reporting several road closures throughout the city because of flooding.

Around 1p.m, Thursday afternoon many of the Back Bay neighborhoods and coastal streets were flooded then the water rescinded within the hour.

FOX 29 found one couple from Atlanta out storm watching. Last year's vacation was ruined by Hurricane Sandy. A year later, their trip to Atlantic City is somewhat of a washout.

"We can't get a break for nothing. We wanted to go on the boardwalk and they said the boardwalk is closed. So we just have to walk around and make the best of it," Avery Lenon said.

We've noticed the closer you come to the coast the higher the winds, so major damage or flooding will be reported from this area.

Continue following this the weather report with the FOX 29 Weather Authority.
