Wow what a day and night in the S. T. L. We started with a roast ''Dodgers"" pig, went to a mad graffiti spray paint artist. We saw a gigantic steamroller crush Dodgers ''stars'' on a mock Hollywood Walk of Fame. Saw a preview of a fabulous new "Ballpark Village'' in the parking lot next to Busch Stadium. We talked with fans from L. A. disappointed that the famed ''Gateway Arch" was shut down due to it being a National Park and the Government's, shall we say, disfunction.
We met a Cards fan who goes back to selling soda's in the old Busch back in the 70's and acknowledged visiting L. A. does have it's good points, and that was all before 9 AM! Then you might say there was a little bit of a ball game at Busch in the evening. Exciting! Grienke was a master, too bad he didn't get the "W." It's just a sea of bright Cardinal red in that ball park. The folks here are into it, the third straight NLCS appearance. The stadium is gorgeous, it's all good, for now. The town is hopping, the park is full, and we've got one more game here before we head back to Dodgers Stadium, the comfort zone. I don't think we'll be roasting any ''St Louis'' pigs in the parking lot, but you never know. I do have the recipe now.
