PHOENIX -

A man was shot in the chest while driving away from a strip club early Saturday morning.

Gunfire broke out at the Pink Rhino, near Van Buren and 36th Street, around 3:40 a.m.

A 21-year-old man was driving in a vehicle with a 25-year-old passenger sitting in the front seat.

As they were leaving the parking lot, a suspect approached the passenger side of the vehicle and started yelling at the men inside.

Police say at some point, the suspect shot the 21-year-old passenger.

The man was taken to a hospital with a non-life threatening injury and is expected to be okay.

It's not clear what led up to the shooting.

The suspect is only described as a black male. He hasn't been located.
