Crunch video workouts at home or on the go

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Having trouble getting to the gym? Now you can take the gym into your own living room. Crunch members are saying yes to a series of new workout clips that bring the gym to your home.

"This morning before I woke up, before I actually got up and out to work, I actually did Pilates in my living room for 30 minutes which is great because I could have the gym anywhere I want anytime I want," Kristi Ann Schopfer says.

"Gospel aerobics, they have hot seat where guys and girls are on chairs doing cardio, it's fantastic," says Crunch Live instructor Mitchell Wayne. Those are just some of the 16 rotating crunch classes you can now rock out in the privacy of your own home. He says that at $9.99 it's a great option for those on the go, or those who just can't afford a membership.

"You get to customize what you like so if you want a dance class, or you want Pilates or yoga, or ballet technique you can customize it for yourself at just $10 a month," he says.

Crunch instructors created the the classes, which use everything from chairs to fans.

So what sets these videos apart from your other at home workouts?

"I'm used to the instructors, I'm used to the routines so some of the at home workout videos are so different than my normal routine that sometimes I don't really see a good progression, where this is great because it goes right in line with everything that I'm doing," Schopfer says.

Wayne says it's important to stretch before any at home workout to prevent injury.

You can sign up for the workouts at crunchlive.com.

One of the most surprising findings in a report from the New York City public advocate is that city officials have virtually no authority over how nail salons are run. The city can't enforce standards like they do with restaurants, so it's clearly a case of beauty buyer beware. We get our nails done without thinking too much about it.
