Creepy Kid-friendly Halloween Ideas

Chef Kelli's Creepy Kids Party
"Cute" Spooky.

 All colors welcome; autumn, neon painted pumpkins, etc. Fun spooky vs. gory is always my 1st pick for the kiddies!

Beverage:
• Blood Red Punch with Spooky Iced Cubes   
Savory:
• Toad Vomit with Bat Wing Chips ( guacamole with blue corn chips)
• Ghost Pizzas (pizza with a red sauce and ghost cut cheese shape)
• Toured Bones (ribs set up like a Skeleton)
• Yummy Mummies with Blood Dip
Sweet
Creepy Monster Candy Jar Assortment

Kids:
• Creepy Iced Cubes: freeze gummy worms in water, juice or cider in an ice cube tray.  Serve in drinks or punch.
• Voodoo Punch: Peel apples and carve out faces in skull shapes.
• Hot dog Mummies: Wrap hot dogs in dough, base and serve with "blood" ketchup dipping sauce.
• Zombie intestines:  Purchase link hot dogs or sausages, bake and brush with BBQ sauce, let kids use scissors to cut there portion.
• Toured Bones: Take ribs and lay out on platter like an actual rib cage. 
• Ghost Pizza: Make pizza with red sauce and use ghost cutter to cut mozzarella. Place on individual pizzas and melt.
 
Blackout Candy Apples
Ingredients:
• 8-10 apples
• 8-10 skewers/striped straws
• 2 1/2 cups sugar
• 2/3 cup water
• 1/2 cup light corn syrup
• 1/2 tsp. black paste food color
• 2 drops cinnamon flavor

Instructions:
1. Place parchment paper onto a cookie sheet and spray with cooking spray.
2. Wash your apples and let dry. Recipe will make 8-10 apples depending on their size.  Add your skewers and/or striped straws.
3. Cook sugar, water and corn syrup in a pot over medium heat. Stir occasionally until sugar is dissolved and starts to boil. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 300 degrees or a small amount of mixture dropped into a cold cup of water separates into hard candy.
4. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon flavoring and food coloring. Mix well.
5. Dip each apple in mixture to quickly coat it and place apples on cookie sheet. Let set.
