Police warn of Chicago Lawn robberies on SW Side: Alert

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police are looking for three men suspected of committing two robberies in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The robbers stole property either by physical force or by displaying a weapon, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.

Robberies happened on Oct. 3 about 4 p.m. in the 3400 block of West 65th Place and on Oct. 11 about 3:35 p.m. in the 3400 block of West 66th Street, police said.

Police described the suspects as two Hispanic men, between the ages of 19 and 29, 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7, weighing between 140 and 165 pounds. A third suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 black man, about 20 to 29 years old, weighing about 190 to 200 pounds.
