The Philadelphia Film Festival is attracting some big names in film! That includes director David Frankel who worked on Marley & Me, which was shot in Philly.
Frankel was on Good Day to present his latest film One Chance, about YouTube sensation and Britain's Got Talent contestant, Paul Potts.
"I remember just getting the e-mail in my inbox, someone sent me the clip. I watched it for two minutes and I had tears," Frankel recalled when he first heard Potts sing.
"A hundred million people clicked on that clip within a week or so. It was the first big viral YouTube sensation. I never dreamed I would make a movie about that, but a year later, I got a screenplay," Frankel continued.
Mike and Sheinelle also asked Frankel about Marley & Me.
Frankel talked about how the springtime shoot was a pleasure for him. He loved the suburbs, downtown, and the inquirer building.
Mike joked to Frankel to stay away from the Convention Center because of the policemen's conference, to which Frankel joked, "I will bum rush them."
