1 dead, 4 injured in Brooklyn house fire

NEW YORK (AP) - Fire officials say one person died and four others were injured in an early morning fire at a private home in Brooklyn.

A fire department spokesman says the blaze started at 3:33 a.m. Wednesday at the 2-story house at 840 E. 15th Street.

The 2-alarm fire was brought under control about one hour later.

One person was listed in critical condition. Three others suffered minor injuries. They were all taken to Kings County Hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No other details were immediately available.
