Le Freak: LA Freak - A Hip-Hop Halloween Re-Cap

Posted: Updated:

Ain't we all... "a little freaky?!" Doesn't Halloween just bring out the freaky fun? With those theories in mind my team of peeps we call Team WC made a music video with a hip hop artist out of our Wednesday's Child adoption program and the cool costumes coming out of WEHO's Halloween haunt.

Disco re-make... made more fun.

Shouldn't we all just dance?! Call this a song for the season! Team WC tweaked out, make that freaked out, the disco hit Le Freak by Chic. "Aaaawww, FREAK OUT!" You know the song! We added a little rap by Jamal (Nexus) and an only-in-L.A. location and voila' witness "Le Freak L.A. Freak" by Team WC. Lotis and Jasmine Jimenez are on vocals. Jamal brought along a buddy, Jordan Mandel, to get the groove on!

A LOOK BACK AT SOME COOL, CREEPY CUTE COSTUMES... the West Hollywood way!

Especially on Halloween, the fun freaks come out at night. We had a ball capturing some of the cool costumes at the nation's number one bash. We take you back to West Hollywood for a look at the ghosts and goblins, the spooks and spoofs, the girls and ghouls!

TEAM WC... tapping into talents of WC kids. Who, what, is Team WC?

It's an unofficial movement still in its infancy. The goal, to start with some of the Wednesday's Child kids all-grown-up and empower them.

Wednesday's Child is the adoption segment on FOX 11 News. With so many of the adopted kids still in touch I wanted to find a way to work with them on their dreams. Jamal was on Wednesday's Child when he was eight years old, and then again when he was adopted. He starting writing lyrics while in foster care, and continues to this day.

Each year, we try to find something new and creative. This year, it was watching and working with Jamal.

NEXT UP... giving back-music video tribute to adoption.

Each year, we try to find something new and creative. This year, it was watching and working with Jamal. Our next video is a theme song for foster care "faith in TRUTH" to be released later in November, National Adoption Month.

    A Rare Condition

Hell on earth, that's how some doctors describe Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa also known as E.B. It's a horrible genetic disease that Nicky Zahorcak was born with. A lot of his skin is raw, the slightest touch can cause blisters that quickly spread. He says, "Right now, all the bandages that you see everywhere even on my sides, they're all raw skin." His mother Silvia says very few people know about this rare condition and she wants to change that.
