(FOX/CNS) - Manhattan Beach police today sought public help to identify two women who used another woman's stolen credit card to buy items at various stores.
The credit card was in the woman's wallet, which was taken from her purse on Oct. 10 while she shopped at a Trader Joe's store in the 1800 block of Rosecrans Avenue, said Manhattan Beach police Detective Shawn Thompson.
Police released security video that showed the two suspects later that day in a Best Buy store in El Segundo, where they bought an Apple MacBook with one of the victim's credit cards, Thompson said.
"The suspects were said to have been portraying a mother and daughter relationship to store employees," Thompson said.
Other items were bought at the Manhattan Village Mall and at a Vons supermarket on Manhattan Beach Boulevard.Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Thompson at (310) 802-5124, or via email at email@example.com.
