The Worst Breakfast Foods For You

Posted: Updated:

So just as your thinking, "what should I have for breakfast this morning?"...consider this: The Cleveland Clinic released a list of the worst breakfast foods for you... and a lot of them have trans-fats. Here is our list…

At number five: a loaded bagel. Most bagels are 300 to 500 calories of starch alone...add cream cheese or butter and it goes way over the top.

At number four: bright, sugary cereals. Most of them contain food dye that the f-d-a has noted contributes to hyperactivity in children with ADHD. And no matter what, they are full of empty calories.

At number three: flavored non-dairy creamers. Most of them swap out saturated fat for trans-fat. Plus sugar and artificial sweeteners…increasing your risk for heart attack and stroke.

At number two: the sausage biscuit. This hearty breakfast is a saturated fat and sodium bomb... Complete with plenty of trans-fat! The nitrates in them have also been linked to some kinds of cancers.

And at number one: according to the Cleveland Clinic, the worst breakfast you can have, is a pastry or donut. They have so much sugar in such a small package...you are likely to eat more than one.
