Study: Texting In Relationships Could Increase Intimacy
Have you lost that loving feeling? Why not send your partner a text?
A study out of Bringham Young University, in Utah, found that texting increases intimacy in a relationship. In fact, the sending of loving text messages was linked to relationship satisfaction (even more than the receiving of them).
However, it could backfire!
Men say that they don't it like when their partner sends them too many text messages. However, they also don't want to be the ones who are sending the texts.
Researchers warn that while sending love messages can improve your relationship, you shouldn't use texts during a fight. Your partner may misunderstand the tonality and meaning of your words.
This study looked at 276 young adults, 38 percent were in a serious relationship, 46 percent were engaged, and 16 percent were married.
