A Taylor school official says a man has been arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot district students.

Security was heightened at all schools in the district on Wednesday after the threat was made. Taylor officers were stationed at each school building.

The assistant school supervisor, Teresa Winnie, says the man who is believed to have made the reported threats was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Romulus.

We're told the man is being held on an unrelated warrant.

Below is the call  that was sent to the parents of Taylor School Students Wednesday morning:

The Taylor School District has been made aware of an individual making threatening statements referencing to schools.

His description is white male between the age of 40-50 years old, dark hair with a go-tee possibly wearing sun glasses and a baseball hat backwards.

Vehicle is smaller white pick up truck with a tool box in back.

Our school buildings are in secure mode, meaning all outside doors are locked as they are everyday.

Please call the Taylor police if this man or vehicle are spotted.
