NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Police arrested an upstate man on DWI charges after he went to a police station to pick up his daughter, who had also been arrested on DWI charges.

The New York State Police say it happened on Nov. 14 in Moriah.

Police were called to the Schroon Lake School at about 3:10 for a report of an intoxicated female at the school. Police say that 36-year-old Kimberly C. McFerran of Moriah was arrested. Officers say her blood alcohol content was determined to be .11%. McFerran was charged with driving while intoxicated, issued tickets and advised she would be released.

Her father, 59-year-old Robert C. McFerran showed up at about 5:00 p.m. at the State Police barracks in Schroon Lake to drive her home.

Police say the older McFerran was also found to be intoxicated and was arrested for DWI. His blood alcohol content was .19%, according to police. He was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated for having a blood alcohol content of .18% or higher.

Both McFerrans were released to a sober third party, according to police.
