The Morning Show Producer Wrap Up: Tuesday

Updated:

Blood Moon the same day as Tax day. Coincidence...I think not!

Very exciting to have Sean Astin here. He's been in some of my favorite movies... and of course I love his mom Patty Duke! He played Samwise Gamgee in the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, Mikey Walsh in "The Goonies", and the title character of Rudy. He has his plate full with several projects including a new show "The Strain" coming to FX this summer, a radio show, and a new movie out just in time for mother's day, called.. "Mom's Night Out. Dude is seriously busy!

California native Gabriel Iglesias was also with us this morning. "Fluffy"s an Actor/Writer/Comedian and much more. He is starring with Marlon Wayans in "A Haunted House 2". I love his stand up comedy and he is just a real nice guy!

The man behind "Top Gun," "Beverly Hills Cop" "CSI Miami""The Amazing Race" "Pirates of the Caribbean" and like a million other projects! Producer Jerry Bruckheimer came by the studio this morning. He's got this really fantastic book out "Four Decades of Filmmaking." There are some amazing photos in it and some great stories. You should check it out, especially if you are a movie buff. P.S...He is working on "Top Gun 2."

Yesterday we had author Terry McMillan on the show. Another one of her books has been turned into a movie. Kimberly Elise co-stars in the new Lifetime movie, "A Day Late and a Dollar Short" .. about a woman played by Whoopi Goldberg who tries to fix her dysfunctional family while she still can. Today we had on Kimberly.

A big treat for Country music fans.. Carlene Carter is in town. she's got three appearances this week.. all to help promote an album she has basically been preparing for.. her whole life. That's what happens when you are a member of one of the truly iconic families in music history. She stopped by the station today to talk about music, her family and more…she even played a little guitar and sang.

I will be off for a few days while my family comes to visit me. Catch you back on Monday!

I met the folks from Gunnar Optiks at CES this year and they had something new to show me. The Intercepts. I have a big head, these are big frames, it was kismet but do they work as good as they look? We'll see.

How about a little lesson on conservation from Willie the Cat. Willie starts unrolling all of the paper until it is all on the floor. But you have to watch what happens next in this viral video.
