For 12 years Sharon Ross and her husband Rodger owned Lasting Treasures in Troy, repairing watches and clocks.  Shortly after Sharon's husband passed away she sold the business to David Pietraes. Pietraes recently filed for bankruptcy - and everything inside the business is gone, including people's momentoes they had dropped off for repairs.

"We had a couple watches. One was a watch that my husband had gotten from his company for working for 25 years, and another was a watch I had gotten," Tracy Ward tells Fox 2's Andrea Isom.

She dropped them off a few months back but when they came back by on Monday she says no one was inside the store and everything was gone.

"He bought the business, its no longer operating so there's really nothing left. However, the customers are entitled to their property back," says Paul Messano, Ross' attorney.

Sharon may not be able to save the business that was once hers, but she's hoping to be able to help save the belongings of others.

Pietraes' wife, Kelly, told Isom everything inside the shop is being repaired at another shop. And she has a message for those who are wanting their items back: "I understand where everyone is coming from, and everyone has, truly, my deepest apologies for me, myself, not doing things as appropriately and business-like as possible."
