JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Firefighters are battling a multialarm blaze in the downtown area of New Jersey's second largest city.
The Jersey Journal reports the fire broke out Wednesday afternoon and could be seen on the top floor and roof of a Grove Street building that houses a pizzeria on its ground floor.
One firefighter was injured while battling the blaze, but further details were not immediately available.
Firefighters closed off several major streets in the downtown area while they battled the blaze, causing major delays for commuters and people who were headed out for the holidays.

Officials say a New Jersey man has died from injuries he suffered in a chain-reaction crash inside one of the tubes of the Lincoln Tunnel. Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police spokesman Joe Pentangelo says the 49-year-old Summit resident was among three people hurt in the accident.
