Police are investigating this latest homicide and pleading with the public not to become complacent about the crime plaguing Detroit. The shooting took place around 4pm Sunday on the 11-thousand block of Christy. We're told a party was underway with family members and friends when bullets started flying. The victims are 39 and 49 years old.

"When our officers arrived on the scene they arrived they observed there were two victims both suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the body," police told Fox 2.

One victim was pronounced dead on arrival; the other is in critical condition.

Police say as many as four suspects stormed the house and opened fire. They need help from the public to track the gunmen down. Tips can be made anonymously through CrimeStoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
