A Julie Chang Update: The Girl Is Incredible

Posted: Updated:

Reunited, and it feels so good! So many of you have reached out to see how Julie Chang is doing and I am so happy to bring you an update!!

On Thursday, Steve and I finally got to spend some time with Julie face to face! And because Julie is still Julie, we couldn't just sit around! She took us on a beach walk! The doctor finally okay'd some light exercise and she was so eager to get moving. This girl is incredible!

Julie is recovering so nicely. She looks fabulous and is the giggly, loveable girl she's always been. One of the difficulties in her road to recovery has been her eyesight. It's improving everyday but it's definitely not 100%. But, trust me it's not holding her back! She's learned to roll with it.  But, between her vision woes and the fact that I could go into labor at any moment, we were definitely happy to have Steve there (just in case)!

Thank you all for your concern for Julie and know that she appreciates all of your prayers and well wishes! She still has a ways to go and will need your continued support. So keep the positive messages coming!

She can't wait to get back to work and is eager to get the okay from the doctor to do so!

I always knew Julie was a shining star but now I'm convinced she's a superhero! Her attitude in all of this is simply unbelievable. We can all take a page out of Julie's book and not take one single day for granted!

As she always says…LOVE AND LIGHT!

Officials say a 16-year-old boy is "lucky to be alive" and unharmed after flying from California to Hawaii stowed away in a plane's wheel well, surviving cold temperatures at 38,000 feet and a lack of oxygen. "Doesn't even remember the flight," FBI spokesman Tom Simon in Honolulu told The Associated Press on Sunday night. "It's amazing he survived that."
