Police arrest man accused of threatening mass shooting at Dallas school

Posted: Updated:

Police have arrested a man accused of threatening a mass shooting at a Dallas school.

Jeffrey Holmes posted the threat against Seagoville High School on his Facebook page.

In the profanity-laced post, Holmes wrote that he is homicidal and suicidal, then went on to say "a mass murder" is fixing to take place, saying he'd put chains and locks on doors and that it would be worse than Virginia Tech, the 2007 attack that left 32 dead.

Holmes finished the post saying, "Help me. I'm not right in the head."

DISD Police increased patrols at the school Friday.

Holmes was arrested last year on a family violence charge after he threw a tequila bottle and hit his mother's head.
