Northeast Philadelphia -

Five area catholic priests are removed from their church duties because of alleged misconduct and there are new allegations of sexual abuse that forced the church to place another priest on leave from his church in northeast Philadelphia.

A former pastor at Our Lady Of Calvary Church in Northeast Philly has been placed leave by the archdiocese-after allegations of sexual abuse that dates back decades.

Reverend John Paul who served this church since 2000 has been placed on leave. According to the Archdiocese, the decision came after it received "multiple, new allegations that Father Paul had sexually abused minors over 30 years ago"

Father Paul resigned last month during the course of the archdiocese investigation.

A sign welcoming a new pastor has been placed outside the church. Parishioners are hoping to move on.

The announcement comes on the same day the archdiocese permanently removed 5 other priests who have been on leave following a 2011 grand jury report.

Reverend Michael Chapman, of Ascension Of Our Lord Church in Philadelphia, Reverend Mark Fernandes of Saint Agnes In Sellersville, Reverend Joseph Glatts of Saint Simon and Jude, In West Chester, and Reverend Stephen Perzan of St. Helena in Philadelphia and Reverend Peter Talocci of St. Patrick in Malvern. All removed from ministry most likely forever.

Father John Paul who was also a teacher at 6 area high schools over the years could not be reached for comment. The Archdiocese says the allegations have been reported to the District Attorney's office.
