RESEDA (CNS) - The suspect in a double shooting that left a male dead and a female wounded was covered in blood as he charged police officers assembled outside the apartment complex in Reseda where the shooting took place last night, according to a broadcast report.
The suspect, who was not identified, was subdued and captured by police, ABC7 reported.
The man worked at the apartment complex in the 7500 block of Canby Avenue, near Saticoy Street, and his wife is its manager, according to ABC7. The shooting occurred around 6:40 p.m., said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Herrera.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the female was taken to a hospital, but her condition was not immediately available, Herrera said.
The shooting happened inside the apartment where the suspect lives, according to ABC7, which reported that one victim was struck in the head and the other in the torso, with the survivor in grave condition, ABC7 reported.

ABC7 reported that two of the 10 officers involved in tackling and restraining the suspect were hospitalized as a result of exposure to the blood the suspect was drenched in.
Erik Correa, an eyewitness, told ABC7 the suspect was ranting about Hitler, President Barack Obama and terrorists. Egan said there was no known history between the suspect and the victims.
