OLNEY -

A 27-year old man is at Einstein Hospital in stable condition after shots fired a block away from his house came through his bedroom wall and hit him.

Police say the victim was in his 2nd floor bedroom playing the XBox video game Monday night when he was shot.  The stray bullet came through the side of his house on the 100 block of Sparks Street. The bullet hit him in the back shoulder. Police say the victim reported feeling burning and pain then noticed blood. Family called 9-1-1. Police found several cars a block away on the same street with bullet holes in them. That's were they believe the shots came from.

"A stray bullet traveled a full city block and went through the aluminum siding and through dry wall then ended up hitting a 27-year old male who was inside his bedroom," said Chief Inspector Scott Small with Philadelphia Police.

Police say there are no cameras at the intersection where they believe the shots originated but they are checking other cameras in the area for any information. Police say they don't have a weapon or any suspects at this time.

Police also say the victim celebrated a birthday yesterday.
