You've heard about those letter to Santa that the post office gets every year, right? The organization Adopt a Letter takes many of those letters, posts them on www.AdoptALetter.org to solicit donations to make the wishes come true.
Even late on Christmas Day, Kimberly Moore and her merry band of volunteers brought toys and clothes, even food to families around Los Angeles. We went with her when she found Eliza Valdovinos at her niece's house, celebrating Christmas. She has two sons with mental deficiencies. One is in a care home now, in Portervile. Her youngest lit up when Kimberly delivered two boxes of clothes and toys.
Actor Rodney Van Johnson teared up as he watched 7 year old Ramon, opened his gifts.
He is best known for his role on General Hospital and Passions and is among Kimberly's celebrity volunteers who drove around the city to spread good tidings and Christmas joy.
Adopt a Letter will continue Christmas deliveries into the new year. So, it's not too late to check out the website, pick and letter and donate.
Kimberly has also started to expand beyond the Christmas season. She has helped teens pay for college entrance tests and given young students backpacks full of school supplies.
