Crop Circle Appears Near Salinas

Posted: Updated:

A crop circle had appeared on a field in Chualar, California.

The circle is estimated to take up close to one acre, and the remaining crops may have to be destroyed.

Aerial views of the pressed in patterns seem to show an intricate design.

No one can definitively say how the circle appeared, but that hasn't stop dozens of curious onlookers from flocking to the farm.

In fact, some even think that this could be made by aliens. A two and a half minute YouTube video has appeared that seems to show someone driving by and discovering the circle early Monday morning.

The driver of the car is passing by very early in the morning when he sees a flashing green light. He proceeds to get out of the car, and climb over the fence to see what's causing the light. Though he doesn't find the source, his camera captures some of the crop circle.

Many viewers of the video think that it's fake.

The Monterey Herald reports that the property belongs to Scott and Debbie Anthony. Debbie Anthony has been sick and bedridden and told the Herald that she heard about the spectacle but knew nothing other than what she was seeing in news reports.
