From Gina Silva:
Ventura County Sheriff's Deputies bust a drug smuggling
operation on a Ventura County beach.
It happened early Wednesday around 3am. Deputies were
patrolling the area near the Mobil Oil Pier between Seacliff and Mussel Shoals
in Ventura when they saw several people loading packages from a panga boat to
an RV parked nearby.
When deputies approached the suspects on the boat, they ran
in different directions. Sergeant Eric Buschow of the Ventura County Sheriff's
office told us three people were arrested but several got away. Buschow says
the group was smuggling marijuana from Mexico.
