Robber Pushes Discount Store Clerk To Ground, Cops Say

PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police need the public's help to identify a suspect who robbed a discount store in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.

According to police, on December 27, 2013, at 4:20 p.m., an unknown male entered the Dauphin Discount Store located at 2800 Dauphin Street in Strawberry Mansion armed with a handgun. Once inside, authorities say that the suspect went behind the counter pointing a handgun at an employee, forcing her to open the cash register.

"If you say something, I will kill you," the man allegedly said.

After taking $1,200 in cash, he fled the store in an unknown direction.

The Suspect Description, according to police and surveillance: Black male with medium complexion. He wore a dark colored baseball hat, sunglasses, dark colored zip-up hooded jacket and light colored pants during the robbery. He was armed with a handgun.
