Woody's Bar-B-Q now open in Sterling Heights

(WJBK) -- Michigan's first Woody's Bar-B-Q is now open in Sterling Heights. The restaurant offers family-friendly southern barbecue and comfort food sides.

On Tuesday, founder Woody Mills showed us how to make his signature smoked beef brisket:

Ingredients:

10-13 lb Beef Brisket
1 cup Vegetable Oil
1½  cup Woody's Memphis Style Rub

To Prepare Brisket in Smoker:
Pre-heat smoker to 225 degrees Fahrenheit
Massage brisket with vegetable oil
Rub Woody's Memphis Style Rub evenly on all sides of brisket
Place brisket directly in smoker
Cook brisket until it reaches an internal temperature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 12-14 hours)
Slice ¼ inch thick and serve with Woody's Signature Southern Sweet Bar-B-Q Sauce
