CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Chandler police have arrested a 29-year-old ex-convict in the 2008 drug-related shooting death of an Arizona State University student whose body was found in his burning rented home.

Rory Gene Coriell is being held in lieu of $1 million bond on suspicious of first-degree murder in the killing of 25-year-old Zachary Rowe.

Firefighters found Rowe's body in the burning home, and a police affidavit says the fire was set.

The affidavit also says investigators found large amounts of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in the home and that informants said Rowe was a marijuana dealer.

Department of Corrections records indicate Coriell was released from prison last March after serving sentences on marijuana and weapons charges. He previously served time for armed robbery.

Court records indicate Coriell doesn't yet have a lawyer.

27-year-old William Crawford was also taken into custody.  He is also being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.

The two aren't strangers to trouble -- both were released from jail earlier this year for weapons and drug convictions.
