Budget Surplus

You fooled Californians into voting for your multi-billion-dollar Prop 30 tax increase. You claimed that this tax hike was needed to save our schools. Now we're finding out that the money the schools needed would have been there anyway, without your tax increase. Guess what?

Going forward the state will have billions of dollars of budget surplus over and above the Prop 30 money.

I'd like to hear your Point of View. Send me an email at POV@fox11.com.

Governor Brown, now it is only fair that you lead a campaign to repeal Prop 30. But I doubt you will do that. So, at the very least use the Prop 30 money to begin paying off California's $400-billion-dollar wall of long term debt. Debt that threatens to financially cripple California. If you will address the long term debt, hopefully California will never need to even think about another Prop 30-like tax increase. Do not allow your political backers, special interest groups and party cronies to spend this money on more government programs.

Do what is right for California taxpayers.

Thanks for listening.
