I'm Now A Google+er

Posted: Updated:

I'm happy to report today I made progress in this high-tech well connected world we live in.  I officially joined Google+, AGAIN, but it wasn't before getting a little nudge from our savvy Google+ girl, Maria Q!

Turns out, I created a Google Plus account a long time ago (I can't remember when...likely years ago), but I've failed to use it. And, here I am, a new member of the FOX 11 family where the latest social media sites are embraced and celebrated so we can connect with YOU, the viewer!

So, this morning, Maria, who many of you love to chat with every day in her Google+ Hangout, inspired me to get with the program.

The miracle is I remembered my Google+ password so I was able to access my profile.  In no time, I dusted off my cobwebbed account, added a pic and voila! Consider my account active.  So, the question is: wanna hangout?  If not, I know I can always count on Maria. Thanks, girl!

One final note: for those of you NOT living in the Google+ world, perhaps you're a part of the little blue bird family.  Tweet me, please, @marlatellez.  I'd love to hear from you!

Officials say a 16-year-old boy is "lucky to be alive" and unharmed after flying from California to Hawaii stowed away in a plane's wheel well, surviving cold temperatures at 38,000 feet and a lack of oxygen. "Doesn't even remember the flight," FBI spokesman Tom Simon in Honolulu told The Associated Press on Sunday night. "It's amazing he survived that." The boy was questioned by the FBI after being discovered on the tarmac at the Maui airport Sunday morning with no identification, Simon said...
