Crews battle two-alarm fire at downtown Detroit strip club

Posted: Updated:

Crews have contained a two-alarm fire at a commercial building in downtown Detroit.

The three-story building is located on the 1400 block of Griswold and is home to a gentleman's club called The Grind.

FOX 2's Roop Raj reports the fire broke out on the building's first floor before 6 a.m. Wednesday and quickly spread to the third floor before breaching the roof.

Fire officials say no one was injured. Residents, however, at a neighboring apartment complex were evacuated.

Sources tell Raj the cause of the fire is under investigation, but arson investigators are on the scene.

Grand River Ave. between Woodward and Washington Blvd. remain closed to traffic.
