Dozens of Vehicles Vandalized in Costa Mesa

Posted: Updated:

(FOX 11/ CNS) - As many as 30 vehicles were damaged by spray-painted graffiti today in Costa Mesa, police said.

The vandalism occurred in the early morning hours in the 1000 blocks of South Coast Drive and Begonia Avenue, said Costa Mesa police Sgt. Jerry Souza. Three pathway light fixtures and an American flag were also spray painted, he said.

The flag had the words "ha ha" painted on it while the vehicles were sprayed with lines and a couple of smiley faces, Souza said.

Someone also spray painted "ha ha" on a garage in the 3400 block of Venetian Drive and a car was set afire on the same block, Souza said.

No suspects have been arrested, he said.
