PHOTOS: Heavy Rain, High Winds, Thunderstorms

A powerful and dynamic Pacific storm will move through southern California today through the weekend bringing periods of heavy rain, high winds, mountain snow, coastal flooding, debris flows and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms could produce hail, waterspouts and weak tornadoes. There will be breaks in the rain, but through tomorrow it will be wet at times. High temperatures today will only be in low to mid the 60s. Downtown L.A. (USC) should reach 64 (average is 69). Coastal area highs will range from 60-62 and the valleys and Inland Empire will top off between 60-64. Lancaster will reach 60, Hesperia 59, Apple Valley 60, Big Bear 46 and Palm Springs 71.
