Blaming It On Lance Gross

Posted: Updated:

Sadly I didn't give my kids 100-percent of my time yesterday evening, in fact I let them watch more TV than they are typically allowed and I am blaming it on Lance Gross and here's why.

I knew I'd be interviewing the handsome actor for "Good Day LA" so I watched the pilot for his new show "Crisis" and it was sooo good I ended up watching the second episode as well.

The show debuts Sunday night on NBC and boy is it action packed!  He plays a Secret Service agent assigned to watch the President's son on a field trip.  It was his first day on the job and let's just say it didn't go as planned.  The entire school bus of kids (kids of the richest and most powerful parents on earth) gets kidnapped and that's about all I want to say because I don't want to give too much away. But just expect lots of twists and turns. Also on the show Gillian Anderson and Dermot Mulroney.

Back to Lance, he was raised in Oakland, although he left when his parents decided to move to Las Vegas.  He could have been a huge track and field star going to Howard University on an athletic scholarship.  But once he got to college he took an introduction to acting class and the rest as they say is history. You may recognize him from his roles in romantic comedies and sitcoms including "Tyler Perry's House of Payne".  For that role on TBS he earned four NAACP Image Awards for best supporting actor. But he says he's always wanted to do action stuff, and now he's getting his fill, he says he even does all his own stunts.

If you want to follow him on Twitter it's: @LanceGross

And once again look for the show's premiere Sunday, March 16 at 10/9c on NBC!
