From Steve Edwards

Laker's Fans of Little Faith

Remember: It's only a game. Lakers fans. Lakers fans. Pick up your heads, it is not the end, just a ...a pause that's it,  it's a...  pause. Maybe a hiatus (hernia?).

So the team stinks this year and the coach seems like the right coach for Phoenix some years ago when Steve Nash was in early middle age, Phil is GONE, never to come back (well he might actually be living here but), Nash is hurt, Kobe's hurt, Gasol's feelings are hurt, there are a bunch of guys we never heard of running around in Laker uniforms and the sibling rivalry/soap opera/what is it really? continues.

It's only a game. We're spoiled. The Lakers are supposed to be there in the end as opposed to not be even being there at the beginning.

But wait ...wait... for a few years. Maybe LeBron will come (no), Carmelo (please no)  Kevin Love (in a couple of years?). Kobe will get almost $50 million over the next two years and maybe he'll be able to play a few games. D'Antoni has another year. He will he back to coach the one style he seems to know for some phantom team in his mind that can actually play his way.

Just a game. Men in their underwear chasing a ball and trying to shoot it through a ring on a board. Nothing to get hung about.

Lakers fans: Pick up your heads, face the sun(s), be proud, be patient.*

*The author does not take responsibility for the truth of any of these statements, especially the one about being patient.
