Charlie White & Sharna Burgess: Medals And Trophies

Last month Charlie white won an Olympic Gold Medal! This month he's competing for the mirror ball trophy on ‘Dancing With The Stars.'

1) He is an American ice dancer. With partner Meryl Davis, he is the 2014 Olympic Champion, a two-time (2011, 2013) World champion, the 2010 Olympic silver medalist, two-time (2010, 2012) World silver medalist, five-time Grand Prix Final champion (2009–2013), three-time Four Continents champion (2009, 2011, 2013) and six-time U.S. national champion (2009–2014). They also won a bronze medal in the team event at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

2) Davis and White teamed up in 1997 and they are currently the longest-lasting dance team in the United States. They are the first American ice dancers to win the World title, as well as the first Americans to win the Olympic title. At the 2006 NHK Trophy, they became the first ice dancing team to receive level fours on all their elements.

3) Davis and White are the current world record holders in the short dance, free dance, and total combined score.

1) She is an Australian ballroom dancer who is best known for being a professional partner and troupe member on the ABC series Dancing with the Stars.

2) Despite being a tomboy Sharna found a love for dance. Growing up, Sharna was involved in lots of sports and different styles of dance. At the age of 5, Sharna began training in ballet, jazz and gymnastics. When she turned 8 her study of ballroom began and went on to win many local and national titles. At age 15, Sharna was chosen to represent Australia at the World Championships in both the Standard and Latin styles, and performed in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games closing ceremony. At age 18, Sharna moved to London where she collected numerous titles and appeared in a UK tour with the show, Simply Ballroom.

3) Sharna's first television appearances were on the Australian Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance Holland aka So You Think You Can Dance (Belgium and the Netherlands). Sharna joined the cast of Dancing with the stars season 13 as a troupe member. While on the troupe she also assisted So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Jason Gilkison on both the Australian and American versions of the show.
