NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

At least four people were hit by flying body parts after an NJ Transit train hit and killed a man who was apparently leaning over the platform at the New Brunswick station.

The accident took place at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as 50-year-old Frank Farriella of Middlesex, N.J.

NJ Transit spokesman John Durso, Jr. says one person on the platform sustained fractured ribs. Another complained of back, head and neck injuries and a third complained of head pain. A fourth person declined medical treatment.

Video from SkyFoxHD showed a white sheet covering a body on the platform.

About 300 people were on the New York-bound train at the time of the incident. None of the passengers was hurt.

Service on the Northeast Corridor line was significantly affected, with delays and a temporary suspension. Amtrak, which uses the same tracks, also had service impacts.

For decades, making some quick cash was the main drive behind so many who took the ride down the parkway to Atlantic City. But with so much to choose from nowadays, it looks like Atlantic City is in a lot of trouble.
