PHOENIX -

Phoenix Police arrested a valley woman who is accused of posing as part of a charitable organization and soliciting teens to sell fake coupons.

39 year-old Christina Pacheco is accused of having quite an elaborate scheme.

Police say she posed as a representative of SADD students against destructive decisions, and talked businesses into helping her out, but she tried to make a deal with the wrong person.

Jessica Smith is the state director for SADD.

While trying to find out who created these fake coupons with her organizations logo on them, the answer appeared on her doorstep.

"It was just random luck that they came to my house especially after dealing with it," said Smith.

Police say that Christina Pacheco printed out 80 of these coupon packs, then solicited teens to sell them door to door. One of those teens led smith straight to the suspect

"She tried to go with that she got approval to do this, and that would be through me and that no, in fact, she did not receive approval," said Smith.

When the police showed up, Pacheco said she would stop selling the books but customers kept bringing the coupons to local businesses.

Police say Pacheco targeted legitimate businesses like Spooner's automotive in Phoenix.

"I am beside myself I can't even believe it," said Jeffrey Spooner.

Jeffrey Spooner worked on Pacheco's car in the past, and he says she knew he had a soft spot for teens after his own son died 3 years ago, he donated free oil changes and diagnostic tests.

"I thought it was a good idea, it didn't pan out to be that way," said Spooner.

"To do something like that that's a little devious don't ya think," said Tocia Pizza owner Johnny Toci.

Johnny Toci donated free pizzas.

"She said look, are you willing do donate, I was like fine whatever you need let me know ill sign, she never came to confirm anything," said Toci.

Toci Pizza said they will not honor the coupons, but Spooner's auto said that they will.

Pacheco faces one misdemeanor count and five felony charges including forgery and lying to law enforcement.
