Studio 11 Guest Dr. Jamie Feusner: Song-Stuck-In-Head Syndrome
Posted by: Shelly Insheiwat, Web Producer / Editor - email
UCLA Psychiatrist Dr. Jamie Feusner runs the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Treatment Center at UCLA Medical Center. He says when songs stuck in your head become so intrusive that they interfere with your thinking or ability to function normally, it could be a symptom of OCD.
For most people, however, the key to getting an annoying song out of your head is to increase your exposure to it. Play the song, sing the song, and eventually, Dr. Feusner says, it will get out of your system. If simple steps don't work, you can reach Dr. Feusner via his page on the UCLA website.
