Buckeye Police search for suspect who tried to abduct girl

BUCKEYE, Ariz. -

Buckeye Police are looking for a man who tried to lure and abduct a girl walking home from school.

Police were called after 4:30 p.m. Thursday when the girl reported the incident to her parents.

She told police that she was approached by an older white male in his 40's or 50's, wearing gray pants, a black jacket and hat, he had a red bandana on the lower half of his face.

According to her, the man pulled up to her in a blue sedan that has a dent in the driver's door. He asked her to get in the car, and she walked away. He then chased after her for about a block.

The victim was able to hide in the yard of an abandoned house until the man left, and she told her mother.
