Tucson man gets probation in voyeurism case

Posted: Updated:

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson man has been sentenced to 10 years' probation in a voyeurism case.

Pima County prosecutors say 34-year-old David Castro pleaded guilty Monday to voyeurism and attempted voyeurism in connection with his November arrest.

A judge ordered him to attend sex-offender treatment.

Authorities say Castro was seen on surveillance cameras at a department store in Tucson Mall attempting to film up the skirts of female shoppers.

Court documents show Castro had a cellphone hidden in a briefcase that he used to surreptitiously film the women.

Tucson police say Castro was found with numerous videos of women when he was arrested and had uploaded the videos to websites.

He originally faced 16 counts of voyeurism.
