Rain May Have Been Factor In Freeway Big Rig Accident

Posted: Updated:

(FOX 11 / CNS) A big rig driver suffered minor injuries today when his vehicle overturned on the transition lanes between sections of the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena, authorities said.

The big rig overturned around 1:15 a.m. according to the California Highway Patrol online incident logs. The accident caused SIG alerts to be declared for both the westbound 210 transition lanes and the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway transition lanes to the westbound 210. Those closures were indefinite, CHP Officer Alex Rubio said.

Rubio said movement of the big rig was being complicated by tangled guard rail material lodged beneath it.
