Posted: Updated:
A warning is in from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office about a phone scam.

Someone is calling unsuspecting victims, claiming to be from the Sheriff’s Office.

The caller tells the victim they'll be served with an arrest warrant unless they send an electronic payment.

Authorities say they would never call and ask for a payment or your personal information.

If you received a scam phone call, contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 240-777-7000.
