Police search for kidnapping suspect

Posted: Updated:

Police released a sketch of a man they believe kidnapped a teenage girl.

Avondale police say a man threatened a teenage girl with a gun and then kidnapped her while she was waiting for her school bus.

The incident happened on March 31 near 108th Avenue and Roosevelt.

The girl says she was given something to drink, which made her light headed, and she passed out.

Afterward, she reportedly woke up in a strange place and walked to a residential area. She asked for help and someone in the area called police.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 30s, weighing 200 pounds, with blonde hair and a blonde moustache.

He was driving an older model 2-door red pickup truck with a gray stripe on the side that ended in the letter Z.

The truck had an open bed with a lawn mower in the back and was covered by a tan tarp.

If you think you know who this might be, you're asked to call Avondale police at (623) 333-7003.
