Neighbors upset with new Cubs remote parking

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

The Cubs say a new remote parking lot should ease the congestion around Wrigley Field. But people around the lot are asking: what about their neighborhood?

The new lot is going in about two miles from the ballpark near Ockwell and Irving Park.

The Tribune says residents and the alderman have raised safety concerns over 1,000 cars suddenly showing up on their streets for weekend games.

The remote lot is right next to a popular park for youth sports leagues.

The Cubs haven't commented.
