Detroit Tigers postpone tonight's game due to snow

Posted: Updated:
CITY OF DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers have postponed tonight's game against the Cleveland Indians, due to snow. No make up date has been set.

Weather Authority Alan Longstreet: Widespread snow will be winding down early this morning with a few flurries or light snow showers floating around through early this afternoon. Did we break the record for snowiest winter? It's looking like it. We needed 1.9" and I think once we get the official observation from Metro Airport we'll have a new seasonal record.

Temperatures are significantly colder this morning (temps in the 20s, wind chill in the teens), and only top out in the mid to upper 30s. Heading to the Tigers game tonight?? Bundle up.

Another cold night ahead, with a slow warming trend through the week and rain back in the forecast by Friday.

Today: Morning snow. Flurries, chance light snow showers through early afternoon. NW wind 10-15 mph. High 36.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Cold. NW wind 5-10 mph. Low 22.

Wednesday: Partly to mostly sunny. High 45.
